Plantiful is an all-in-one business-in-a-box for the horticulture industry. We work with growers of plugs, annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees, mostly in wholesale and re-wholesale. Our platform covers procurement, production, inventory management, sales, logistics, e-commerce, and accounting integrations. We're focused on transforming the plant and horticulture industry by leveraging modern technologies to solve key pain points these businesses face. Our mission is to improve the workflows for plant growers and wholesalers, improve their ecological and financial profiles, and help make the world a greener place!
We're looking for engineers who are driven, eager, and experienced in building solutions that scale. You'll work closely with our CTO and a small, senior team on a product that nurseries across the country run their entire business on. You'll also help shape what this engineering team becomes as we grow, which we intend to make an amazing place to work. You'll build across the whole platform: availability and inventory, procurement, production tracking, online ordering, point of sale, logistics, payments, and reporting. The surface area is wide, and the work touches every part of a real business. We're an AI-first team. Most of our code is written by agents, guided by our engineers, who are increasingly focused on system & product architecture. AI is a tool our engineers direct, not a replacement for judgment. People here own the architecture, make the design calls, decide what's worth building, and hold the line on quality. Strong system design instincts and real product sense are the job. This role is for you if you love building products, want to work with a strong team, and have maybe thought about starting a company yourself. This is a permanent, full-time role structured as an independent contractor engagement.
